Home Alone
Parents and brother are have gone to Port Dickson for a short getaway this weekend, leaving me at home, alone.
I would have gone if not for IWF.
and i don't really like IWF.inaccessible location, lack of showering facilities, its not even a venue meant for sprints competition. Its more like a way for SP to show off its fleet of boats and to promote water awareness, and to get everybody leading an active lifestyle.seriously,i despise it.i never liked the glare from the public whenever i carry my C-1 in Mac or whatsoever,at least,Mac is not so bad.The joggers and people who frequent the route along paddle lodge have at least an idea of what sprint canoeing about. The general public will most probably have no idea of the difference between a kayak and an open top canoe, must less appreciate C-1s,but i probably presume that they will most probably be awed when they see that a boat could still travel straight when its paddled on only one side.
I'm not trying to say that i'm a C-1 pro,or whatsoever, pros probably don't care much about these. Its probably the lack of publicity of canoeing.Dragonboating, though more commonly recognised,is still a fresh sports in local context, much less canoeing.
Oh wells, enough of rants,i'm just trying to say a simple point.Maybe people nowadays are too ignorant of other things besides their own life. And i do agree with my lecturer saying that locals are selfish lots, which only care about their own backyards' cleanliness and heck care about the environment.I think its very sad.If only i had the time to care,i would.Maybe,i have the time, but i just didn't grab the chance. But i can safely say that i am doing my part by recycling milk cartons, every that i drink.
hai,its sad,but what can give way to industralisation and economic wealth.which is more important nowadays?Time for more Nat Geo mags and Times Magazines.......
